We stayed in port today and went to see Hue. The traffic is interesting here, and we saw a truck crash ….
We then went to see the Citadel and site of the Royal Palace, which has largely been rebuilt since after the Vietnam War. We also went to the Thien Muh Pagoda and saw the Heavenly pagoda, and then via Dragon boat to a Hotel for lunch. Market visits and a visit to the tomb of Minh Mang followed, and then a dash back to the boat in time for dinner.
The bridge was built by Eiffel of the Tower fame.
