Crossing the Equator

Crossed for the last time, now back in the Northern Hemisphere.

Didn't feel the bump though ......

Namibia - Walvis Bay

 Today we went on a coach trip - passed the Uranium, Lithium and Marble workings. Saw a plant that grows one mm a year, so must be 2000 years at least! Stopped to see the dunes, and have a cold drink on the way. A very pleasant day, and not too hot, we arrived in thick fog.

Cape Town - Boulder Beach

 A small visit by coach to see the Penguibs, followed by a coffee and wine buying, before boarding the ship to go through immigration to leave South Africa.

At the cruise terminal and did lots of shopping at the Victoria and Alfred complex. Met many Brookson cousins and had a jolly lunch!!

Durban - South Africa

 Took quite a time to clear immigration. We then went on a coach tour to see Durban, and the outlying areas and uMhalnga, where we had tea at the Oyster Box Hotel.

Mauritius on Easter

Today we went on a 4 hour tour, mostly to rum establishments!! There is quite a production of rum, as there is much sugar cane on the island.
