Haarlem and back home ...

We took the bus from Haarlem from Schipol to visit friends we had met on our last cruise.

Had a walk around Haarlem Town and Market (where we got some cheese), and then a train back to the Ferry where we had some dinner.

Arrived in Harwich at 6.30 AM and got home nice and early....

A Day in Amsterdam

Today was a walking tour in Amsterdam, followed by pancakes for lunch, and then a boat trip, and finally back to the CitizenM at Schipol by train.

After leaving the boat we did a train and bus trip to Schipol airport from the Hoek van Holland, checked in at the CitizenM Hotel, and then went to see the tulips!

Stena Hollandia - Harwich to Hoek van Holland

Today we drove from home, and boarded the Ferry - we are off for a couple of days to see some flowers and Amsterdam!

We took Cabin 10308 (Comfort Class with free Wine, Beer and Nibbles!) for an overnight trip. We arrive at 8AM.

We parked the car at the Electric Point so hopefully we will get some fuel for the journey home on Sunday.

Back home!

We left the Hotel at 7.30am, took the train and airport express, checked in the luggage and went to the lounge. Flight took a bit longer due to the headwind, and then drove back from Heathrow.

A small diversion to the house as the road was closed outside with the electrical works and hole digging just outside!

Stockholm - Final day

Today we went to see the City Hall, where the Nobel prize is presented. We had a guided tour around, and had lunch in the Restaurant there, very reasonable price.

We then took a bus to see some shops, and returned to the Hilton Hotel at Slussen.

We've been travelling around Stockholm on 7 day tickets, which covers buses, trains and ferries - a good way of getting around!

Today we arrived back in Stockholm, and caught the Bus back to the Hilton. Luckily we got the upgrade again which meant we can get free dining in the Executive Floor.

We had a coffee at one of the Wayne's Coffee shops around the corner and caught a Bus to the Royal Palace (no changing of the Guard this time either!), and the went on to eat Meatballs and some Pasta.

Then on to the Historic Museum where we saw the Gold Exhibition - lots of them! We took a Train back to the Hotel and chilled out ...
