Lots of memories of emigration ..
Our last port of call for this cruise; Passing from Spain to Portugal and back to Spain mean that the clocks change - so an extra hour less in bed today - but another hour tonight! At least we arrived at 1 pm and that meant we could have an extra hour in bed.

We had a stroll though town, not as quiet as it was last time on a Sunday we were here, but not at all busy. A visit to C&A of course, and an ice cream, and a lurk through the shopping center on the way back. The berth is very convenient for the City.

Weather a little colder to prepare us for home - and the Bay of Biscay next!

Lisbon

Today a tour around the city on coach and tram (with a small custard tart and port.

We sailed in under the bridge in the morning, and at the end of our tour went into a local supermarket at the train station next to our berth where we got a bargain 5 Euro bottle of white port ... Helen got her coffee at the Maritime Museum, and we ate lunch by the pool deck on return.

English night, the show sounds good though!

Almeria

Today an 8am arrival in Almeria.

We'd organised a coach trip up to the hills behind, where there are Olive, Almond and Olive trees. Also the desert where all the Spaghetti Westerns were filmed. Then a stop in a small sleepy village and coffee in a bar, followed by a drive down to the sea and Marina, where there are acres of plastic Greenhouses. Finally back to the ship for lunch.

Malaga

Last night we wore some rather nice spectacles! The ship moored at 8 am in the industrial port, and it was 4,40 Euros to travel into the City (return!).

We went to the tourist office, bought a Daily Mail (!), had a coffee, walked to the Picasso Museum (9 Euros entry), and then had a small (!) Tapas lunch (with a nice local Victoria Beer) at El Pimpi near the museum. Back to the ship by tea time. We are due to sail at 8 pm.

Sunday in Cadiz

We had three days getting to Cadiz. Some slightly rough seas crossing the Bay of Biscay which ensured the theatres were not full! The formal night was postponed until the next day. We spotted some Dolphins on the way down. Recognised some crew members, which was nice.

Today we arrived in the morning in Cadiz, where it is Carnival time. Had a nice view from our very small balcony.

Morning view of Cadiz

We then took a Coach tour around Cadiz, to Jerez where we tried three sherries including Tio Pepe, and back to the ship ....

Boarding Black Watch

Cabin 8009

Bathroom

Black Watch arrived in the morning ...

We had coffee at M&S at West Quay and left at 1200, and were on board by 1300 at QEII terminal Dock 38. The car was taken by ABP and the luggage appeared at the Cabin by 1.15pm.

Cabin 8009 is a Balcony Cabin, small but bijou. It has two wardrobes, shower, and two beds. The balcony is not too obstructed and has two chairs and a table. Not too bad!
